Moonlit Walk, Creston Wetlands Centre, Canada

No sign of the elusive Moose but basked in the glory of the boastful Moon instead πŸ™‚

  1. We visited friends near Crawford Bay when we were on holiday from the suburban Greater Toronto Area (via CN rail to Calgary). Four (often bored) teenagers in tow in a rented Ford van. Our Kootenay friends were building their house there out of stone. One taught, one was a geologist when he could find work and ran the dump. They raised llamas. I was so impressed by the beauty of that rainforest area and grateful that our children learned that there were other ways in which to live. After Banff, Jasper etc. we drove across the Rockies to Victoria and took CN back from Vancouver. It was the late 80’s and the railroad was under some threat of closing one or more lines. Surprised at how much the kids enjoyed 5 days (2 to Calgary; 3 back from Vancouver) on a train. Thanks for visiting my site. Love your blog’s style.

    • Wow that sounds such a great trip! We stayed at my boyfriend’s sister-in-laws dairy farm ‘Kootenay Meadows’ in Creston. It’s such a beautiful place πŸ™‚
