Aren’t these the most fascinating and beautiful creatures? I remember them well as a kid growing up on a big lake here in southeast Michigan. They lite on you and stay on you for the longest time, then flap those transparent wings and vanish as smoothly and silently as they arrived. Great shot. 🙂
I love Nepal and have enjoyed my trips there when I was living in Bangladesh. The people are amazing and once you are out of Kathmandu, the world really opens up. Have a good time!
It was just over a year ago that I was in Nepal – just for two weeks but I had the most amazing time and yes, the people are so welcoming….I have yet to meet someone who went to Nepal and DIDN’T love it 🙂
A perfect shot! Those beautiful lacy wings! You were lucky to get this, they don’t seem to stay still very long, or at least not the ones I meet anyway!
Suzy 😀

They really are….incredibly beautiful and mesmerising the way they move. Thank you 🙂
How cool is that?!? How on earth did you get that shot?
Thanks! I was just lucky that he chose to have a little rest for a few seconds…and also my having the stealth of a ninja 😉

Love the wings – so intricate and delicate. Nicely captured.
Thank you, he is a beauty
I love dragonflies but I obviously live in the wrong location for them. I’ve only see three in San Diego in the eighteen years I’ve lived here.
Wow….they only like to hang out in particular spots I guess. They are very cool
