I like to explore….
It reminds of wild life in africa… so my guess was going to be remains! But I already see that you tagged it with sand, sea so it must be some kind of shell 🙂 My best guess!
Thanks Bashar….there were loads of these white bits embedded in the rocks in this distinctive shape so I thought it could be a specific kind of shell too or mineral deposits but in the end I concluded that I at least knew that they were aesthetically pleasing and shot-worthy 😉
The white whatever it is looks set into the rock, could be bits of shell or coral, cuttlefish also comes to mind.
Someone else suggested Cuttlefish remains which it does look like (especially the shape of that bottom left piece) but I was surprised at how many there were (I didn’t know that that many would die in the same place) plus I can’t understand how they got embedded in the rock face?……interesting! Thanks Russell, nice to have you back 🙂
maybe in time past a cuttlefish predator used to catch and eat them in that area and the remains collected there. As to how they got embedded, it looks like a sediment rock that has built up and condensed over time, some types of soft rock can build up quite quickly
I dunno… but it sure looks like the x-ray my dentist showed me last week… : (
