I hate how the big guy in front is blocking out the li’l guy in back– the big bully!!
This plant is called an Hottentot Fig which seems to like sandy areas at the back of the beach and dunes. I remember pulling some up on the way back from the beach at Aljezur to plant in my garden in the Algarve. It took very well, in fact it took over the garden, had to remove it eventually … beautiful flowers though. Thanks for the reminder! Cath
We call that the “freeway ice plant” here in San Diego because it’s regularly planted along the freeways.
